We were concerned after having read that there was a seam in the glass (which most people believe means that this wasn't hand blown, I'll get to that in a second), but once the light is hanging the seam isn't an issue for us. Overall the piece looks fantastic in our dining room and we couldn't be happier. We put an LED Edison bulb in it and it gives off a ton of light. We also placed pieces of colored beach (sea) glass around the bottom to add a touch of color.
