Alice I put these in all the stairwells of my house as well as the dining room, wine cellar, and in the TV room. I put most on a dimmer except the ones in the stairwell. I initially bought two to see how they would look in the stairwell, and then bought eight more. I think they look great (obviously, or I wouldn't have bought ten). Jimmy I bought this for a long dark hallway and I love it. It gives off a beige tint when turned in. Lights up the area very nice. I live in a mid-century Ranch house so I wanted something that would look good with the era.

Lauren The overall sturdyness of the metal is great. Little pricey but would buy again if needed. The plastic inserts are thinner but will hold up as long as you dont have kids or lawn mowers throwing rocks at them every week.

Timothy My overhead light in my room perfectly is in the middle of my screen when I sit in my chair. Since I like to do crafts, eat or just see I wanted a lamp so I can see the screen and have a light on at the same time. I also really like the ability to make it dimmer and different light tones. If I am having a headache but still want the light on I can use the lamp and adjust to my liking. Or if I am doing my crafts and need a bright light to see something small I can adjust to a bright white light to see. Also the small stand is great to fit in the small space between my chair and wall
