The Calcina is a whitewashed ceramic table lamp with a rounded urn body finished in a distressed limewash — a dry-brushed white glaze worn back to reveal the warm tan-and-brown clay beneath. A wide coolie-style off-white fabric shade keeps the top calm. At 17.7″ wide and 18.1″ tall, it brings a weathered, old-world, farmhouse character to a console, a nightstand, or a living-room side table.

Setup Notes

Plug-in table lamp — no hardwiring needed; seat the shade and plug it in.
Place it on a sturdy, level surface; the ceramic urn is heavy, so support it from the bottom when moving.
Use an E27 or E26 bulb rated for 110–240V; warm white (2700K) suits the weathered finish.
Use an LED bulb so the fabric shade and ceramic body stay cool in use.
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth; the whitewash is a distressed finish, so avoid scrubbing, which can lift it.
The limewash is brushed and worn back by hand, so the pattern and exposed clay vary piece to piece; the photograph shows a representative sample.

Overall, the overall mood of the room changed in a good way after living with it for a bit.

Overall, it has more presence in person, but not in an overwhelming way with the rest of the room. It has been easy to enjoy without overthinking it. It made the room feel more complete in a very natural way. It has been a very satisfying choice.

I notice the difference most at the end of the day after living with it for a bit. The lamp gives the surface a finished look without crowding it. That balance is what I was hoping for. I can see us keeping it for a long time.
