On quiet nights, the ceiling light gives the room a more settled feel.

I thought this would be a small update, but the ceiling light feels much more natural in the room than it did on screen. Without changing the furniture, the upstairs landing feels finished but still relaxed. What surprised me in regular use is that the piece feels useful and visually settled at the same time. I wanted one design choice with a little character, and the ceiling light stands out without making everything else compete. When we are winding down, the room feels less flat.
