Seen from the other side of the room, the wall light gives the room structure without dominating it. I thought this would be a small update, but the scale of the idea feels right once it is part of the whole room.

The design works for me because the wall light adds detail without asking the rest of the room to get louder.

When nobody is paying attention to the room, the wall light has become part of the routine rather than a special feature. What works visually is that the room reads as more complete. For evening use, I like that the room has more depth.
