When I turn the other lights down, the stair landing feels especially comfortable. With the room kept fairly simple, the wall light adds a point of view without taking over the room. We added this while finishing the room after a move, and it helped the stair landing feel like ours. I spent a little longer finding the right balance around it, though the extra presence ended up being a positive.
