I left the rest of the room alone, and the floor lamp adds a point of view without taking over the room. I would not have guessed from the photos that the room feels more settled than I expected from one change. By evening, the room feels easier to settle into. Within the room as a whole, the floor lamp adds presence without making the room feel heavy.

This went in just before family came to stay, and the home office finally felt ready. At a glance, the home office has a clearer focal point without feeling busy. I chose this instead of a more generic option, and the floor lamp feels much more natural in the room than it did on screen.

When the day slows down, the sofa corner feels calmer.

During a normal week, the floor lamp feels familiar in the room surprisingly quickly. I like that the floor lamp can be noticed or ignored depending on what the room is doing.
