Online, I worried it might be too much; in person, the wall light is easier to live with than the photos made me think. I left the rest of the room alone, and the wall light stands out without making everything else compete. At a glance, the room reads as more complete.

With the room viewed as one composition, the stair landing feels finished but still relaxed. On slower evenings at home, the room feels more lived-in and relaxed. The risk for me was choosing too much personality, yet the design is more versatile with the rest of the room than I pictured. What keeps it from feeling too much is that the design is noticeable up close and calmer from a distance. The best sign for me is that it feels like a natural part of the room now.

The room did not need another trend, and I like that the wall light adds interest without turning the space into a theme. From a few steps back, the room reads as more complete.
