A cantilevered pendant with a counterweight arm and a single glowing globe shade. The black or gold metal frame extends horizontally from a ceiling-mounted rod, creating a balanced, sculptural look. Works well over dining tables, kitchen islands, bedroom nightstands, or entryways.

Late in the day, the kitchen has a nicer rhythm. I had to simplify what I placed around it, and I would make the same choice for this space.

At the end of a long day, the reading corner feels especially comfortable. For me, the biggest difference is that the reading corner has more definition without losing its simplicity. I expected to like it, but the pendant feels less risky and more like the obvious choice.

The more I look at the room, the more I think the kitchen has more definition without losing its simplicity. Once daylight fades, the kitchen feels more inviting. When I notice the kitchen in passing, I like that the room feels better without asking for any extra effort. The design reads slightly bolder in person than I expected, though the extra presence ended up being a positive.
