The living room feels more personal because the room can stay simple while the floor lamp carries enough character on its own.

I appreciate it most after sunset because the reading corner feels softer without losing definition. I thought this would be a small update, but the choice feels bolder in a good way rather than simply louder. I like that the floor lamp feels connected to the room rather than added on. Kept against a quieter background, the floor lamp gives the room contrast without feeling trendy.

The reason this feels easy to live with is that the floor lamp adds a point of view without taking over the room. The longer this has been in the sofa corner, the more I appreciate that the floor lamp fits naturally into the way the sofa corner functions. I chose this instead of a more generic option, and the floor lamp is easier to live with than the photos made me think.
