The room benefits from the fact that the wall light adds a point of view without taking over the room. At the point when the room usually felt flat, the hallway has a nicer rhythm.

Styling the rest of the hallway was easy because the design has personality without dictating the rest of the room. I like that the wall light feels connected to the room rather than added on. Between workdays and weekends, the piece feels useful and visually settled at the same time. The room changes most at night because the hallway feels calmer.

What matters to me day to day is that the wall light fits naturally into the way the living room functions. This went in just before family came to stay, and the living room finally felt ready.
