With the room kept fairly simple, the ceiling light adds a point of view without taking over the room. My main hesitation was how it would sit with everything else, yet the scale of the idea feels right once it is part of the whole room. I like the way the wood adds another layer without becoming the whole point of the fixture.

As the hallway becomes part of the day, I enjoy it most when the room is being used normally.

Day to day, I like that the ceiling light feels familiar in the room surprisingly quickly. The wood reads more naturally in person than I expected from the photos.

For daily living, I like that the ceiling light fits naturally into the way the home office functions. I like that the ceiling light can be noticed or ignored depending on what the room is doing. At a glance, the room has a stronger visual center. By the time we are winding down, the room feels less flat.
