I was prepared for the room to feel busier, yet the table lamp feels less risky and more like the obvious choice. What makes the design successful here is that the design is noticeable up close and calmer from a distance. From a few steps back, the reading corner has more definition without losing its simplicity. At the point when the room usually felt flat, the reading corner has a nicer rhythm.

What matters to me day to day is that the table lamp feels familiar in the room surprisingly quickly.

The design works for me because the table lamp gives the room contrast without feeling trendy. On slower evenings at home, the atmosphere feels intentional rather than accidental.
