I thought I might need to redesign around it, but the wall light made a bigger difference to the living room than I expected. From a styling point of view, the wall light adds detail without asking the rest of the room to get louder. After dinner, the room feels less flat.

When nobody is paying attention to the room, the wall light fits naturally into the way the living room functions.

When I notice the room in passing, the bedroom is nicer to spend time in without feeling newly decorated. The brass is a nice detail, especially because the overall design still feels balanced. I went back and forth on whether the room needed something this distinctive, though it has grown on me in daily use.
