I know the choice worked because the chandelier has become part of the routine rather than a special feature.

For daily living, I like that the stair landing is nicer to spend time in without feeling newly decorated.

Looking at the room as a whole, the chandelier adds presence without making the room feel heavy. After the novelty wore off, I realized that the design is easy to live with instead of demanding attention.

From the hall, the bedroom has more definition without losing its simplicity. The more I look at the room, the more I think the chandelier gives the room structure without dominating it. With the room kept fairly simple, the room can stay simple while the chandelier carries enough character on its own. I had to get used to seeing one stronger detail in the room, and I would make the same choice for this space.
