Stoneware vases with vertical fluting and a torn, blooming rim — for dried stems, pampas, and bunny tails

Fluted Bloom Vase is a pair of hand-thrown stoneware vessels carved with deep vertical ridges that gather into a soft, ruffled opening — like a fabric sack cinched at the neck. Sandstone-textured matte off-white finish across both forms.

Tall is the upright vessel with a rounded body and pleated rim. Wide is the lower-profile version with a broader hip and a more torn, organic rim. Both accept dried stems through the ~50 mm opening — pampas grass, bunny tails, eucalyptus, dried magnolia branches, or wheat. Anchor a console table on its own, or pair the two forms for a sculptural arrangement.

For dried stems only — not waterproof. The interior is unsealed stoneware. Water will seep through the body and damage the finish. Use with dried botanicals, faux florals, or as a standalone sculpture.

Hand-Thrown Stoneware

Each vessel is shaped on the wheel and finished by hand. Ridge depth, rim ruffle, and surface texture vary slightly between pieces.

Sandstone Matte Finish

Raw, unglazed stoneware texture in a clean off-white — reads as quiet, earthy luxury without aged or distressed effects.

~50 mm Bloom Opening

Ruffled rim opens to a 2-inch interior — sized for medium-stem dried botanicals and small bouquets of faux florals.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind. Hand-throwing produces subtle variation in fluting depth, rim shape, and surface texture between pieces. Small kiln marks and tonal blooms are part of the firing process — they signal craft, not damage.

To my eye, the room feels more considered with one stronger object. I was unsure about adding another decorative object, yet this made the arrangement feel simpler somehow. The vase has settled into the shelf so naturally that it no longer feels new. The piece has enough presence to matter without making the surface feel cluttered.

The vase is easy to work into the room without building an arrangement around it. The longer it is here, the more it feels like it belongs. The piece makes the arrangement feel personal rather than decorated. I almost skipped this because I did not need another object, and now it is one of my favorite details in the room.
