In person, the empty areas around the furniture make more sense. I like that the wall light can be noticed or ignored depending on what the room is doing.

The design works for me because the wall light adds a point of view without taking over the room. The design feels considered without making daily use of the living room any more complicated. The first thing I noticed was that the empty areas around the furniture make more sense.
