Without changing the furniture, the pendant feels connected to the room rather than added on. I stopped overthinking the choice once I realized that the pendant feels familiar in the room surprisingly quickly. Kept against a quieter background, the pendant gives the room contrast without feeling trendy. I kept second-guessing the choice, and now the pendant feels much more natural in the room than it did on screen.

When the rest of the house gets quiet, the pendant gives the room a more settled feel. I like that the reading corner has a clearer focal point without feeling busy. On an ordinary morning, I notice the pendant in passing more than I expected.

Once it was in place, the breakfast nook feels more intentional from more than one angle. I could not tell from the photos how it would land, and the pendant feels much more natural in the room than it did on screen.
