Formakami pendant light is a modern take on classic Asian paper lanterns. Our aim was to create a light pendant that illuminates people's lives both literally and symbolically. The white color of the shade emphasizes the lightness of rice paper and the open bottom maximizes the amount of light. Black stained oak rings give Formakami's handmade shade a pleasant rhythm. known for his playful designs, has combined round shapes in different sizes, and the end result is a collection of three unique pendant lights.

The overall effect is more subtle than I pictured, and I mean that as a compliment. I find myself turning it on earlier in the evening because I like the room better that way.

This changed the atmosphere more than the layout, which is exactly what I wanted. It makes the room feel finished without making it feel staged. I like how the pendant creates a clear center for the space without overcomplicating it. The light has become one of the things that makes the room feel settled at the end of the day.
