After the novelty wore off, I realized that the chandelier feels familiar in the room surprisingly quickly. With everything else left alone, the chandelier makes the room feel considered rather than decorated.

Late in the day, the entry feels calmer. The reason this feels easy to live with is that the chandelier adds interest without turning the space into a theme.
