I like that the floor lamp feels useful and decorative at the same time. In everyday use, the home office is nicer to spend time in without feeling newly decorated.

In real life, the floor lamp has become part of the routine rather than a special feature.

I was aiming for something a little less predictable, and the floor lamp made a bigger difference to the living room than I expected.

The first thing I noticed was that the empty areas around the furniture make more sense. I could not tell from the photos how it would land, and the room handles the design better than I thought it would. Later at night, the floor lamp gives the room a more settled feel.
