The Istar Chandelier cradles a deep bowl of natural Spanish alabaster — 100% imported from Spain — in a polished metal rim, held aloft by three slender rods that rise and converge to a single center stem, like a vessel carried on a tripod. The integrated warm 3000K LED fills the bowl from within, so the stone's amber veining spreads across the dome like weather on a small planet, casting soft uplight and a warm pool below. At Ø 38 × H 79 cm overall, and in Gold, Black, or Chrome hardware, the Istar hangs over dining tables, kitchen islands, entryways, and stair landings.

Every bowl is carved from natural alabaster quarried in Spain. Veining and tone vary from piece to piece, so your chandelier will differ from the photos shown — this variation is the character of genuine stone, not a defect.

Installation Notes

Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
The bowl carries real stone weight: anchor the canopy to a junction box or ceiling structure rated for the fixture — never drywall alone.
The rigid rod structure holds the bowl perfectly level; a longer drop can be arranged before shipping — contact us with your ceiling height.
Integrated LED — no bulb installation needed. If the LED module is ever damaged, contact us for a replacement.
Handle the alabaster bowl with both hands and avoid impact — natural stone can chip.
For indoor use only. Not suitable for bathrooms or damp locations.

What I see now is that the chandelier adds presence without making the room feel heavy. I like that the chandelier feels useful and decorative at the same time. This was one of the final choices for the new place, and it helped the living room stop feeling temporary. It gives me exactly the amount of visual interest I wanted.

When I am not thinking about the design at all, I still notice that the room feels comfortable rather than staged. During the last part of the day, the room feels less flat. For me, the biggest difference is that the stair landing has more definition without losing its simplicity.

Without changing the furniture, the chandelier feels connected to the room rather than added on.

What has lasted beyond the first impression is that the stair landing is nicer to spend time in without feeling newly decorated. The alabaster reads more naturally in person than I expected from the photos. From a styling point of view, the design feels distinctive but still easy to mix with what I already own. This was the missing visual step for me because the room reads as more complete.
