What I notice after dark is that the reading corner feels more inviting. The paper is a nice detail, especially because the overall design still feels balanced. The room did not need more furniture; it needed one detail, and now the reading corner has a clearer focal point without feeling busy. With fewer decorative pieces around it, the wall light adds interest without turning the space into a theme.

Without changing the furniture, the empty areas around the furniture make more sense.

By evening, the room feels more lived-in and relaxed. Online, I worried it might be too much; in person, the overall presence feels easier than I expected.

Between workdays and weekends, the design is easy to live with instead of demanding attention. With the styling pared back, the design is noticeable up close and calmer from a distance. My partner was unsure at first, but now agrees the bedroom feels better with it. The photos had me curious, but the real surprise is that the wall light feels less risky and more like the obvious choice. As the room shifts into evening, the room feels less flat.
