Up close, the paper gives the piece some depth without making it feel heavy. I would not have guessed from the photos that the choice feels bolder in a good way rather than simply louder.

When I notice the room in passing, the room feels better without asking for any extra effort. I like the contrast it creates; the room can stay simple while the table lamp carries enough character on its own. Late in the day, the room feels more lived-in and relaxed. I spent a little longer finding the right balance around it, but it settled into the room better than I expected.

To my eye, the room has a stronger visual center. I was aiming for something a little less predictable, and the table lamp is easier to live with than the photos made me think. By evening, the room feels more lived-in and relaxed.
