After the novelty wore off, I realized that it feels like a natural part of the room now. I thought the design might ask too much of the room, but the room handles the design better than I thought it would. After dinner, the room has more depth.

Kept against a quieter background, the room can stay simple while the pendant carries enough character on its own. When I notice the room in passing, the piece feels useful and visually settled at the same time.

It took me a little while to decide how much else the room needed, and I would still choose it again.
