It is a little more of a focal point than I originally planned, though it has grown on me in daily use.

On an ordinary morning, the front entry is nicer to spend time in without feeling newly decorated.

From a styling point of view, the design has personality without dictating the rest of the room. I did not know whether the room could carry it, but the room handles the design better than I thought it would. Standing back from it, the outdoor light feels connected to the room rather than added on. It has been easy to live with, which is probably the best compliment I can give it.
