When we are winding down, the reading corner feels calmer.

The room still feels like us because the design is noticeable up close and calmer from a distance. On ordinary weeknights, the atmosphere feels relaxed without becoming dramatic.

Between workdays and weekends, the living room is nicer to spend time in without feeling newly decorated. From the doorway, the room has a stronger visual center. For evening use, I like that the atmosphere feels intentional rather than accidental. I expected the design to blend in a little more, and the final balance feels right.

I kept second-guessing the choice, and now the wall light is easier to live with than the photos made me think.
