From the hall, the whole layout feels calmer with one clear point of interest. I could not tell from the photos how it would land, and the table lamp feels less risky and more like the obvious choice. The design reads slightly bolder in person than I expected, though it has grown on me in daily use.

On an ordinary morning, I notice the table lamp in passing more than I expected. With everything else left alone, the table lamp gives the room structure without dominating it. Once the room is quiet, the room feels less flat. My first instinct was to play it safe, but the table lamp feels much more natural in the room than it did on screen. With the room kept fairly simple, the table lamp adds detail without asking the rest of the room to get louder.
