I needed a day or two to get used to the look, and the final balance feels right.

My first instinct was to play it safe, but the wall light made a bigger difference to the reading corner than I expected. When I turn the other lights down, the room feels warmer in mood, not busier. Against quieter furniture, the wall light adds a point of view without taking over the room. I expected the design to blend in a little more, and I would still choose it again.

I left the rest of the room alone, and the room can stay simple while the wall light carries enough character on its own. My family rarely comments on lighting, but this one actually got noticed. The longer it is in the room, the more I appreciate that the wall light has become part of the routine rather than a special feature.

Looking at the whole space together, the empty areas around the furniture make more sense. By evening, the bedroom has a nicer rhythm. My partner now says this is the detail that makes the room feel finished. On an ordinary morning, it feels like a natural part of the room now.
