With the corner otherwise left alone, the overall design fits in better than it did in my head, even on completely ordinary days. I needed a day or two to get used to it in the room, but it has grown on me. It changed the mood of the room without forcing me to change the furniture around it. This fits our day-to-day life better than the more elaborate options I considered. I notice the alabaster more in person than I expected, and it gives the design some depth without taking over.

With the guest room otherwise left alone, the new addition makes the space feel more settled, especially in the evening. The effect is more about the whole space than the table lamp by itself. It settled into our routine so quickly that it already feels like it has always been here.

For the bedside, the overall design gives the room a clearer sense of balance, without asking for much else. It feels natural in the room now rather than like something we just added. It makes the room feel finished without making it feel staged. I notice it most on ordinary evenings, which is probably the best compliment I can give it.
