Looking at the room as a whole, the wall light makes the room feel more intentional, without asking for much else. The travertine is nice up close, but what matters more to me is how the whole piece works in the room. I was prepared to rearrange a lot around it, but the room barely needed any adjustment. I like the way the space feels at night now, especially on quiet evenings at home. I did not realize how much the evening mood was missing until this was in place.

With the reading area otherwise left alone, the new addition turned out to be exactly enough of an update, and that matters more to me than any single detail. It feels natural in the room now rather than like something we just added.
