The Maellis Alabaster Shade Wall Sconce sets a tapered shade of natural alabaster on a slim arm that curves down from a round backplate and rises to meet the shade. The stone softens the bulb into a warm glow and shows its pale amber veining when lit. Choose Aged Brass, Brushed Nickel, or Black.

Setup & Care

Turn off power at the breaker before installing — a licensed electrician is recommended.
Mount the backplate so the arm curves down and back up, with the shade sitting level on top.
Dust the shade with a soft, dry cloth; do not use water or cleaning sprays on the stone.
Let the bulbs cool before handling the shade or changing the bulb.

From where we usually sit in the bedroom, this choice looks considered without feeling staged, which is what I wanted. It has been very easy to live with, which matters more to me than making a big statement.
