A ceramic table lamp with a handmade linen shade on a tapered, wood-grain ceramic base. The linen shade diffuses an integrated warm-white LED into a warm, even glow. At about 11.8″ tall with a 9.8″-wide shade, it's sized for a nightstand, a side table, a desk, or an entryway cabinet — an organic-modern shape that reads Japandi, Scandinavian, or mid-century.

Setup & Care

Plug-in table lamp — set it on a flat surface and plug into a wall outlet; no wiring or electrician needed.
The base is ceramic with a wood-grain finish applied by water-transfer printing — it looks like wood but is solid, weighted ceramic, so it won't dry out or warp.
Integrated LED — there's no bulb to replace, and it gives a fixed warm-white (3000K) glow.
Dust the linen shade with a soft, dry brush or cloth; wipe the ceramic base with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Indoor, dry locations only.

In the guest room, this choice feels much more natural than I expected, which is what I wanted. The best part is that it still feels right on completely ordinary days. I like that the room still feels like us, only more complete.

In the bedside, the overall design gives the room a clearer sense of balance, which is what I wanted. It has been one of the easier design decisions to live with. I find myself turning it on earlier in the evening because I like the room better that way. It works with the rest of the room instead of making everything else feel like background. What I like most is how naturally it sits with the rest of the bedside.

For the desk area, this table lamp fits in better than it did in my head, which is what I wanted. There is a much nicer sense of atmosphere in the desk area now. I notice the ceramic more in person than I expected, and it gives the design some depth without taking over. The design holds its own, but it does not make the room feel too precious.

With the bedside otherwise left alone, the new addition gives the space a stronger point of view. I did not realize how much the evening mood was missing until this was in place. The room feels a little more polished now, but still comfortable and lived in.
