For the balance of the reading area, the overall design changed the room more than I expected, and that matters more to me than any single detail. I like it a lot; I just had to edit the surrounding decor so the space did not feel too busy. I like that it gives the reading area character without feeling like a trend piece.

With everything around it staying relaxed, this choice makes the room feel more intentional, especially in the evening. It feels natural in the room now rather than like something we just added. It gives the room a nicer evening rhythm without drawing too much attention to itself.
