For the reading area, this choice changed the room more than I expected, and that matters more to me than any single detail. I have not felt the urge to keep adjusting the rest of the room around it. The room feels much more inviting once the light is on. I notice the difference most when the rest of the room is quiet and the light is on. It gives the room enough presence without making the lighting feel theatrical.

In this part of the house, this choice changed the room more than I expected, especially in the evening.

With the reading area otherwise left alone, this wall light has been easy to live with, even on completely ordinary days. The lighting feels more deliberate now, but still comfortable for everyday use.
