From the doorway into the living room, the new addition adds presence without taking over, and that matters more to me than any single detail. The effect is more about the whole space than the table lamp by itself. I have not felt the urge to keep adjusting the rest of the room around it.

For the corner, this choice brings the room together without doing too much, which is what I wanted.

In this part of the house, the table lamp feels distinctive without being difficult to work around, without asking for much else. The space still feels relaxed, just more considered.
