Without making other changes to the hallway, this choice feels calm enough for everyday life. It added presence to the hallway without making the space feel busy. The space still feels relaxed, just more considered. It has enough character to be noticed, but it still works with everything else.

Looking at the reading area as a whole, this wall light makes the room feel more intentional, and I like that balance. I would make the same choice again for this room. The fixture feels like part of the architecture now rather than an afterthought. It does not ask for attention every second, which I like.

With the reading area otherwise left alone, this wall light has been easy to live with, which suits our home. I liked it online and needed a little time to like it just as much in the room, but now it feels right. It makes the room feel finished without making it feel staged.
