Yes, it does require complete assembly.I assembled it easy enough and its gorgeous, its definitely worth every penny and it will look stunning in my dining area but, I lost my nerve to install it. I know for some its easy because they know a bit about electrics and I love my electricity but want to keep it limited to the wiring. ??
