For the amount of change we wanted, the overall design feels distinctive without being difficult to work around, and that matters more to me than any single detail. I notice the difference most when the rest of the room is quiet and the light is on.

For the bedroom, the ceiling light makes the room feel more intentional, especially in the evening.

With the hallway otherwise left alone, this ceiling light adds enough character without feeling loud. The room feels much more inviting once the light is on. It feels intentional without needing a lot of explanation.

For a home that is not overly formal, the ceiling light makes the space feel more settled, and I like that balance. I like the final look a lot; I just had to simplify the nearby decor more than planned. The best part is that it still feels right on completely ordinary days. I like the way the space feels at night now, especially on quiet evenings at home.
