For the look we were after, the wall light works with what we already owned surprisingly well, even on completely ordinary days. From the doorway, the hallway reads as a much more complete space now.

The wall light has a little more presence in the hallway than I pictured, but I like it now that the room has settled around it.

In the entryway, the new addition adds enough character without feeling loud.

With the bedroom otherwise left alone, this wall light feels distinctive without being difficult to work around, and I like that balance. The fixture feels like part of the architecture now rather than an afterthought.
