The iron is nice up close, but what matters more to me is how the whole piece works in the room. It has a little more visual presence than I expected, so I simplified the area around it, but I like the result.

In everyday use, this chandelier has been easy to live with, which is what I wanted. It draws the eye a bit more than I anticipated, but I have come to like that about it. It has been very easy to live with, which matters more to me than making a big statement.

For the main room, the new addition feels like it belongs there now, even on completely ordinary days. It was not instant love for me, but after a few evenings I appreciated it much more.
