The living area used to feel a little flat; this gave it just enough character. The pleated detail is distinctive, but the overall piece still feels easy to live with. I notice the difference most when the rest of the room is quiet and the light is on.

Compared with what was there before in the hallway, the overall design adds presence without taking over, which suits our home. I find myself turning it on earlier in the evening because I like the room better that way. The pleated detail gives it some personality without making the room feel overly styled.
