It added presence to the main room without making the space feel busy. This changed the atmosphere more than the layout, which is exactly what I wanted. The room has more depth now, but it is still comfortable. I worried it might feel too noticeable, but in the room it looks much more balanced than I expected. I notice the difference most when the rest of the room is quiet and the light is on.

I was able to keep the rest of the dining room simple, which is exactly what I wanted. It gives the space a little more identity without changing everything else. The chandelier gave the space a sense of occasion without making everyday dinners feel formal. The glass is one of those details I appreciate when I am close to it, not something that dominates the room.

Even simple weeknights feel a little nicer in the main room now. The glass adds character, though I still think the overall effect in the room is the strongest part.
