With the bigger pieces staying exactly where they were, the overall design makes the room feel more intentional, even on completely ordinary days. I notice the difference most when the rest of the room is quiet and the light is on. It gives the room a nicer evening rhythm without drawing too much attention to itself. The overall effect is more subtle than I pictured, and I mean that as a compliment.

I wanted the corner to feel intentional but still relaxed, and this helped a lot. The light has become one of the things that makes the room feel settled at the end of the day. I like that the room still feels like us, only more complete. The lighting feels more deliberate now, but still comfortable for everyday use.

There is a much nicer sense of atmosphere in the guest room now. It has become part of the everyday rhythm of the room faster than I expected. The room feels calmer and more intentional now. It passed the hardest test in our house: everyone likes it for a different reason.
