The Repose is an acoustic pendant light — panels of sound-absorbing PET felt pinned to a metal frame in a faceted, architectural silhouette. The layered felt softens echo while the open base casts a warm downlight over a dining table, island, desk, or meeting table. The 23.6″-wide shade comes in six colors and takes one E26 bulb. Cord-hung, hardwired, indoor.

Features

Paneled acoustic felt

Layered PET felt panels give plenty of surface to absorb sound and soften echo — light and noise control in one.

Faceted, riveted form

Felt panels pinned to a metal frame with exposed rivets — a structured, architectural shape, lit or unlit.

Warm light, six colors

One E26 bulb (about 20W LED) for a warm downlight, in dark gray, blue, green, red, brown, or orange.

Six colors, one size

The 23.6″ × 11.8″ paneled shade comes in dark gray, blue, green, red, brown, and orange. Color runs through the felt for a rich look.

Installation Notes
  • Cord-hung and hardwired through the ceiling canopy — a licensed electrician is recommended.
  • Shorten the cable to set the drop; over a table, hang the shade bottom about 30″–36″ above the surface.
  • Takes one E26 bulb (US standard medium base); use a ~20W warm-white LED for low heat and efficiency.
  • The felt panels absorb sound best in rooms with hard surfaces (tile, glass, concrete); use several across larger or noisier spaces.
  • Care: dust or vacuum the felt with a soft brush; avoid water and harsh cleaners, which can affect the felt.

I was interested in the acoustic concept, though the way it fits visually into the room is what I notice most day to day. My family usually ignores decor changes, and even they noticed this one. I find myself turning it on earlier in the evening because I like the room better that way. I have not felt the urge to keep adjusting the rest of the room around it.

I needed a day or two to get used to it in the room, but it has grown on me. I like that the room still feels like us, only more complete.
