It took seeing it in the room for me to understand why the design works. I find myself turning it on earlier in the evening because I like the room better that way. I was able to keep the rest of the bedroom simple, which is exactly what I wanted.

This floor lamp gave the room another layer without making the layout feel crowded. The light has become one of the things that makes the room feel settled at the end of the day. The room feels calmer and more intentional now. I did not move any furniture, but the corner reads completely differently now. I would make the same choice again for this room.

The reading corner feels more inviting in the evening without becoming overly dramatic. It works well with the way we actually live in the space, not just how the room looks in photos.
