A sliced travertine globe pendant — a ⌀5.1″ sphere of natural travertine cut on a diagonal and offset, so light escapes through the open seam between the two halves. About natural travertine

Each globe is hand-cut from natural travertine. Open pores, surface pitting, and color banding vary piece to piece — these are core characteristics of the stone, not defects or damage. No two globes are identical, and the seam profile varies slightly between pieces.

Installation Notes

Hardwired ceiling install — a licensed electrician is recommended.
The drop cord shortens on-site; over a table or island, hang the globe so its base sits 30–36″ above the surface.
The G9 bulb is included and replaceable inside the globe; a 2700K warm-white G9 LED gives the warmest glow through the seam.
Dimmable with a compatible dimmable G9 bulb and a wall dimmer (not included).
Travertine is a porous natural stone — open pores, surface pitting, and color banding are core characteristics of the material, not flaws or damage. The diagonal seam profile also varies slightly between pieces.

The globe shape gives it character without making the room feel themed, and that is more important to me than a trendier look. It pulled the entryway together in a way that feels natural rather than styled for a photo. I notice this pendant most during weekend time at home, which is probably why it already feels like part of the room. My main concern was whether it would still feel right after the newness wore off, and so far it does.

My favorite part is how this pendant changes the room without making the change feel obvious. The globe shape gives it character without making the room feel themed.
