During quiet evenings, the hallway feels noticeably more comfortable with this wall light on. It gives the room a more edited look without making it feel formal.

It works with the furniture we already had, which saved me from feeling like I needed to restyle the living room, and that feels especially right in the living room. I did not expect one piece to change the living room this much, but the whole area feels more intentional now. The room still feels relaxed and usable, which mattered to me more than having a dramatic statement piece. The brass is a nice detail in person without becoming the only reason the piece works. I am glad I did not play it safer.

Up close, the fabric gives the design some depth, while the overall look still stays easy to live with, which is what made the choice feel right in the end.
