Spanish Alabaster ChandelierSolstice Bar Chandelier

Vertical alabaster tiles line both long sides of a rectangular brass frame, held in place by a row of small brass rivets along the top edge. The frame hangs from two brass chains rather than a single rod, keeping the bar level along its length. Light passes through the tiles from bulbs mounted inside, with the brass structure visible at each end and along the base. Available in two lengths — 100 or 125 cm — it suits a kitchen island, a long dining table, or a bar counter.

The brass is a nice detail in person without becoming the only reason the piece works, without making the space feel overly styled. I almost chose something safer, and I am glad I did not. The room feels better with it than without it.

It works well with how we actually live in the space instead of making the room feel too precious, and that is exactly what the breakfast area needed. The room still feels relaxed and usable, which mattered to me more than having a dramatic statement piece. From across the room, this chandelier gives the space enough structure to feel complete. This chandelier gives the space some character without turning it into a theme. I was aiming for something very quiet, and this has a bit more personality than that, but I have come to like the contrast.

It settled into weekend time at home faster than I expected and no longer feels like a new purchase, which has made the foyer feel more complete. The glass is a nice detail in person without becoming the only reason the piece works.
