I noticed the wood more once it was in the room, but the overall balance is what I ended up appreciating most, and I appreciate that it does not ask for constant attention. We use the entryway all the time, and this table lamp still feels like a good choice rather than something I bought just for looks. I have no urge to replace it with something else, which says a lot.

The look is a touch bolder than I expected, though it works much better now that the rest of the living room is settled. The biggest change is how much more settled the living room feels with this table lamp in place.

This table lamp feels less like decor now and more like something that simply belongs in the room, and it has been easy to live with since then. This table lamp adds just enough presence to make the space feel intentional. The design has enough presence to be noticed without becoming the only thing you see. It gave the room the lift I was hoping for.
